The HP Tuners GM E42 ECM Upgrade Service (2024-2025 GM Duramax L5P) is your first required step. This mail-in ECM unlock service prepares your factory E42 ECM for custom tuning using HP Tuners' VCM Suite (Beta) and MPVI3 device.

Once you place your order, you’ll receive detailed shipping instructions to send your original ECM to HP Tuners. After the upgrade is complete, it’s shipped back to you—fully unlocked and ready for licensing and tuning.

Requirements:

• MPVI3 dievice required (MPVI2 and 2+ are not compatible)
• 8 Universal Credits needed to license ECM
• Original ECM must be in good condition (no broken tabs/plastic).
  Note: Spare ECMs will NOT BE ACCEPTED, no exceptions. Only the original ECM from your vehicle is acceptable for this service.
